Interactive Classes

Our interactive classes are developed and led by health professionals, including occupational therapists and a registered dietitian. Many extended health care plans provide coverage for these services. Check with your insurance provider to see if a portion of your costs can be covered. Interactive classes run 4 times a year for a month at a time, typically October, January, March, and May. Registration opens the month before.

What makes Collective Classes work so well?

As we’ve mentioned, all of our classes are led by degree educated health care professionals. Currently we have two occupational therapists and a registered dietitian on our team. Typically you would pay upwards of $100/hour to privately work with these professionals. Because we keep our class sizes small, class instructors are able to respond personally to parents’ questions and concerns. For the duration of the class, instructors work with each parent to implement strategies that work for their family. This means you get access to a qualified professional for 4-weeks at a fraction of the cost for private services.

*Tip: Many private insurance plans cover occupational therapy and/or dietitian services.

All of our classes were created with the intention of fostering connection and community. While learning modules are emailed directly to your inbox every week, a HUGE benefit to our interactive classes is the private online discussion group for each class. This is where you communicate directly with your instructor to ask questions and troubleshoot strategies. Even better it’s a place to connect with other parents who get it.
As instructors one of our favourite things about leading these classes is seeing the connections develop between parents as they share ideas, encourage, support, and inspire each other. Real and genuine connections can happen online and they happen right here in our classes! It’s magic!
Because our classes are held entirely online, you can participate from any location as long as you have a screen and internet connection.
Weekly lesson plans can be downloaded to your computer, phone, or tablet so you can read the information when it’s convenient for you.
There’s no set time or day that class runs. You simply read the lesson plan for the week, then participate in the discussion forum when it works for you. Instructors check in on a regular basis to add to conversations, answer questions, and suggest strategies.

When you sign up for one of our Collective Classes, you’ll receive:

  • weekly lessons for you to download, print, and keep as a helpful reference
  • our condensed ‘fridge sheets’ (print and stick this in a handy spot for quick reference in those panicked parent moments)
  • access to our members-only forum for the class duration. This is where the ‘aha’ moments happen as students and teachers share experiences, ask questions freely, and encourage one another. Teachers are present daily in the forum to participate in discussions and/or answer questions.


  • Because life with kids is busy and we want to make this as easy and effective as possible for parents.
  • You read and digest the lessons when it’s convenient for you.
  • You can jump into the forum with your questions and discussion points during times that work best for you throughout the week.
  • Best of all, you can attend class in your pjs with a glass of wine if you need to.
At the moment all of our classes are held online. If you’re interested in attending an in-person class, send us an email.  We’d love to hear what topics and learning styles you’d like to see offered.
If once you sign up for a class you discover a conflict in the timing, we offer a refund for the class as long as the first week’s lesson has not already begun. If a student must withdraw from the class prior to the first week of class starting, the cost of the class will be refunded, less a $50 withdrawal fee.
No. Our online classes are designed so that you participate when it is convenient for you.
Once you have paid you will be emailed a payment confirmation. This serves as the confirmation for both you and us that you have paid in full and are officially enrolled in your chosen class.
The week prior to your class start date you will receive an email from Collective Therapy with tips on making the most of your learning experience.
The Friday prior to your class start date you will receive an email from your teacher with details on how to get started in the members-only forum and what to expect in the coming weeks.
After this you’ll be all set to dive in, read and digest all the juicy information, connect with other parents, and start putting practical strategies into play.
